Dr. Monahan completed his undergraduate degree in 2004 from the University of Georgia, and graduated in 2008 from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He practiced as an associate for 2 years before joining a single doctor practice as an associate in Burlington NC in 2010. In 2013, he purchased the practice and focused on implementing digital technology into his newly acquired practice.
    He purchased an omnicam and an MCX milling unit in 2014 and became a CEREC mentor for Cerec Doctors and a clinical trainer for Patterson Dental. Over the next several years he added an Orthophos SL CBCT and a Formlabs 2 3D printer. Most recently he has added a Primescan and a Primemill to further enhance the applications of digital dentistry in his office.
    Dr. Monahan hosts local study clubs for updates in CEREC technology as well as hands on trainings in his office. Over the last year he has hosted classes on esthetic enhancements for anteriors, which is his passion. He also speaks locally and nationally, with the most recent being in Vermont at Education in the Elements.
    Dr. Monahan has 2 wonderful children with his beautiful wife. They enjoy traveling to national parks and playing golf in their free time.
